Thermo Fisher Scientific has developed a new affinity chromatography resin called CaptureSelect Lenti VSVG, designed for the research and purification of lentiviral particles. This tool offers an efficient and scalable purification method while maintaining viral infectivity. It uses gentle elution conditions to retain the infectivity of the lentivirus particles. The resin has been shown to enrich infectious particles after purification, with a more than 5-fold increase in concentration compared to the initial load. CaptureSelect Lenti VSVG is agarose-based with epoxide activation and has a binding capacity of approximately 1E11 total particles/mL matrix.
