Transfection Toolbox For Spike Protein Vaccine Strategies

Researchers both in public and private sector are working on developing a vaccine against SARS-COV—2 virus to protect people at risk from developing severe cases of COVID-19, as an alternative to herd immunity. To offer a tangible solution for the years to come, already more than 90 vaccines are currently under development. In this blog we review the 4 main strategies for those vaccines: virus-based vaccines, nucleic acid-based vaccines, protein-based vaccines and viral vector vaccines.
