Improving Cell Line Development Processes Through Accurate, Low Volume And Rapid Automated Cell Counting And Viability On The ICON™ Instrument Using STUDIUS™ Data Management Software
Cell counting and viability assessments are key parameters for monitoring cell health. The Trypan Blue assay is the earliest and most widely used method for quantifying live and dead cells. Traditional methods such as the haemocytometer are time consuming and are subject to inaccuracy based on the individual and their technique being followed. The Viability assay on the ICON instrument allows for automated cell counting and viability of CHO and HEK cell lines. The assay uses a network-based assessment to accurately identify cells when stained with Trypan Blue. We will outline the importance of accuracy and efficiency when cell counting and outline how the Viability assay on the ICON can enhance your current processes.
