Take a look at 5 of the advantages provided by using an inverted microscopes for industrial applications. With inverted microscopes, samples are observed from below, as the optics are placed under the stage. The optics of upright microscopes are placed above the stage. Inverted microscopes are often used for life-science applications, like cell culture, because cells often grow on the bottom of dishes filled with aqueous solution and they cannot be seen clearly from above. The last few decades, inverted microscopes have become increasingly popular for industrial applications.
