Adoptive T-cell therapies offer promising treatments for certain cancers. Particularly with the use of autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in the eradication of metastatic melanoma.

Research is currently being done to study a new method for isolating TILs from human colon tumor xenografts. This method, which is based on MACS® MicroBead Technology, could be more efficient and effective than traditional methods such as density gradient centrifugation, flow sorting, and magnetic cell separation. CD45 (TIL) MicroBeads are optimized for use with dissociated tumor tissue and resulted in high purities of isolated TILs.
