Since it is not possible to anticipate every possible transport route, a set of industry-recognized tests was selected to represent a challenging use scenario. The two main risks to frozen material during transport are mechanical and thermal.
Mechanical risks include shock and vibration events encountered during handling, vehicle movement, and loading/unloading. Thermal risks are largely driven by the temperature difference between the interior and exterior of the
packaging, especially in hot ambient conditions.

Celsius® FFT | FFTp Box Shipper and Celsius® FFT | FFTp Bulk Shipper are logistic solutions to significantly simplify and make flexible biopharmaceuticals supply chain through one-way logistics and the transport of frozen Celsius® FFT | FFTp with Safecore™ Technology containers to their destination sites for thawing. In this note we have evaluated the shippers using the ASTM D-4169 test for mechanical risks and the ISTA 7D test for thermal risks.
