Overcoming Bispecific Antibody Purification Challenges With CHT™ Ceramic Hydroxyapatite Media

This study explores the efficacy of CHT Ceramic Hydroxyapatite Media in purifying bispecific antibodies (bsAbs), therapeutics that can target multiple antigens or epitopes. The research compared the performance of CHT Media with conventional cation exchange (CEX) resin purification methods. The results showed that CHT Media achieved over 97% purity, with minimal high molecular weight impurities. Significantly, the use of CHT Media led to an eightfold reduction in chromatography-induced aggregation in comparison to CEX-based procedures. The study further revealed that CHT Media effectively removed low molecular weight impurities. These findings indicate that CHT Media could be a crucial tool for the downstream processing of bsAbs, thereby enhancing the quality and safety of these therapeutic agents.
