Mirus Bio Cell & Gene Tech Expo April 2025: Gene Therapy

Source: Mirus Bio

To navigate the hurdle of short complex formation time (CFT), Mirus Bio has developed a transfection stabilization additive which can extend the CFT for a transfection complex made with TransIT-VirusGEN® from minutes to several hours, without a loss in performance. This additive stabilizes transfection complexes across several GOIs, serotypes, DNA doses, and reagent:DNA ratios.

  • As demonstrated through dynamic light scattering (DLS), this stabilization effect is the result of slowing the growth of transfection particles, resulting in similar sized particles at both short and long CFTs.
  • Transfection complexes can also be stabilized by this reagent when the complex volume is reduced from 5% to 2%, which will also decrease the volume, and therefore for the time, needed to transfer a transfection complex to a large-scale bioreactor.
  • The complex stabilization additive can be used successfully with the TransIT-VirusGEN Transfection Reagent and the RevIT™ AAV Enhancer.

Attend this webinar to observe data that demonstrate the efficacy of the transfection complex stabilizer during AAV manufacture and how it will substantially improve workflows and success rates in large-scale bioreactors.
