The IRO platform is designed to streamline cell and gene therapy manufacturing, offering a path from R&D to GMP-compliant production. This system features a novel bellows-based bioreactor with a flexible 50 mL to 1 L operating range, allowing for cell activation, transduction, and expansion to occur within a single consumable.

To optimize processes, the system integrates three flexible mixing mechanisms: static, rocking, and compression. Manual steps are eliminated through the use of the Large Volume Consumable (LVC), which automates the closed addition of reagents, media, and cells, supporting increased throughput and scalability. Sterile fluid transfer is simplified by the patented Ori Connect system, which eliminates tubing, bags, and pumps, minimizing dead volumes. Furthermore, the Small Volume Consumable (SVC) automates consistent, representative sampling for quality monitoring. The platform's software supports remote control, monitoring, and even includes an AI insights module for process optimization and anomaly identification.
