This application note discusses the transition from quantitative PCR (qPCR) to Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR™) for HEK293 residual DNA quantification. Follow along through a bridging study to compare the output for qPCR and Droplet Digital PCR when run with the same samples to aid in the transition between the platforms. The qPCR assay was run on the CFX96 Touch System and automatic thresholding was done using CFX Maestro Software. The standard curve and sample concentrations for the qPCR data were derived manually instead of using the commercially available qPCR kit software.
