RNA Therapeutics, although having been around for many years, has certainly seen a growth in interest and development ever since the COVID-19 pandemic. The success seen with the mRNA-based vaccines has helped catapult the world of RNA therapeutics into the limelight. Optimization of these newer processes is an ongoing project, with updated methods and technologies consistently being introduced into the workflows. This poster focuses on the use of a critical process parameter, osmolality, and how it can be incorporated into the world of RNA. Osmolality – a measurement of dissolved solute concentration, can be applied throughout the bioprocessing workflow. Here, we show how important the sensitive measurement can be, from formulation optimization to cryopreservation techniques.
