A study conducted by Nucleus Biologics compared the cryopreservation medium NB-KUL 10 to the CryoStor® CS10 Freeze Media to determine which is ideal for preserving the viability of different cell types, including Mesenchymal Stem Cell Line, HEK-293 Cell Line, and blood-derived T cells and natural killer (NK) cells. The cryopreservation process is crucial in cell therapy development to ensure the viability and health of cellular material. NB-KUL 10 is a more affordable and customizable alternative to existing products. The study found that NB-KUL 10 preserves cell count, maintains cell viability, and supports proliferation at equivalent levels as CryoStor CS10 after a freeze-thaw cycle. Notably, NB-KUL 10 performed better than CryoStor CS10 in maintaining viability and cell count in HEK-293 cells. Explore the data collected from this study regarding viability, cell count, and cell recovery after thaw.
